Personality and Unique Traits

We are looking to find a Foster to Adopt for Aero. Someone with time, patience and understanding, again ideally a farm yard.

Aero ❤️🐾 was picked up in Kamsack and never claimed. He is about 10 months old and has been vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, neutered & microchipped. He is very people-focused and likes being near his person. He enjoys attention, play, and being involved in whatever is happening. He is curious about his environment and likes exploring, and is incredibly snuggly, loving to plop on top of his people and snooze. Overall, he has good natural social skills and temperament.

He seems generally good with other dogs and is curious and social, loving to wrestle and nap together. With cats, he has been mostly respectful and curious but not overly fixated, though he has moments of playful prey drive and will need supervision and correction at times. He has been fine with kids he’s been around so far, but due to his excitable nature and size, supervision is recommended.

Temperament and Behaviour

Aero is still working on leash manners and impulse control. He walks fairly well but can get excited and pull, especially when something catches his interest. A harness is currently being used as his collar is too loose. If he gets free, he is a runner and may attempt to escape, so precautions like a long line in the yard are recommended.

A farm yard would be an ideal home for him, where he doesn’t have the opportunity to get into things he shouldn’t while he is stressed. With time and routine his stress levels and anxiety should lesson, as always we don’t know what the animals have been through and he seems to have a bit of fear of abandonment. He seems generally fine with other dogs, and has been around cats and has been respectful and curious but not overly fixated. (He does have moments of prey drive if they run, but it is more playful. Supervision is always recommended while animals are getting used to one another)

He is house trained and has been doing well with routines without consistent issues. He tolerates the kennel but may need some time to settle initially. He can get overexcited, be a bit jumpy, and may be vocal or restless when seeking attention.
