He is a friendly and affectionate dog who loves being around people. Bandit enjoys spending time with his humans, whether that’s following them from room to room, playing ball or tug-of-war, or laying beside them or at their feet.
Like many American Bulldog mixes, Bandit is loyal and people-oriented, forming strong bonds with those he trusts. He is an energetic dog who enjoys walks, playtime with the other foster dog in the home, and learning new things. Bandit is also a smart dog who already knows commands such as sit, shake a paw, and speak, and he quickly learned the command “down.” He walks well on a leash, travels well in the car, and has the cutest bark and trills that match his big personality.
Temperament and Behaviour
Bandit would do best with a family that can give him the time, structure, and love he deserves. He is house trained and currently working on kennel training, where he is learning that the kennel is his safe place and will often go in on his own to lay down. He lives in a foster home with another foster dog, a resident dog, a resident cat, and two foster kittens, and he is still learning some boundaries with the cats. Because he is a large and energetic dog, a home with older kids would likely be the best fit.
